Adventure King's Quest VI: To Heir Is Human 1

At the end of King's Quest V, once Graham defeated the evil sorcerer Mordack, he freed not only his family, but also the beautiful princess Cassima. Graham's son Alexander (who we first met in King's Quest III) has not been able to stop thinking about her. However, he has no idea how he can get to the Land of the Green Isles where they understood she is from.

Eventually, the magic mirror shows a vision of Cassima, and Alexander uses the stars from the vision to figure out where to navigate to. His boat, however, is ship[wrecked, and Alexander finds himself alone on the island. He learns that Cassima is to be married to vizier Abdul Alhazred. However, while exploring the island, he finds out this marriage might not be what the princess wants.

Alexander sets out to discover the truth behind the story, which has him travel to the 4 main islands of the land, as well as the hidden island of Mists.


The plot of King's Quest VI is mostly non-linear, meaning puzzles can be solved in different order, though some puzzles will require multiple actions to have been previously completed. I experienced one possible glitch where an action had to be performed in front of a specific character that did not appear after I performed a specific action. Despite trying different things, my only way to solve the game was to restore and perform the actions in a slightly different sequence. To avoid this, when you first get the nightingale from the pawn shop, use it on the real one in the tree.

The end of the game offers two options; a quick one and a more elaborate one that will add additional detail to the storyline. Additionally, the final sequence will be determined by how thorough you explored the game and certain actions you completed (or failed to complete).
