Adventure Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror 1

A few months after the adventure in Broken Sword I, George Stubbard and his now girlfriend Nicole head to the house of a professor known for his knowledge of Mayan Artifacts. Nicole recently started researching a story involving a drug smuggling ring. As part of that investigation she received a mysterious stone, which she hopes to find out more about.

However, after arriving at the house, George and Nico are attacked, with her being kidnapped, and George left tied up in a burning room with a venomous spider creeping up on him. Narrowly escaping, George sets out to try and find Nicole, and to figure out what's going on.

Like in the previous adventure, the journey will take you across different places, including Paris, Marseilles, Quaramonte City, The Carribean, and London.


Like in the first game, Broken Sword II is a point-and-click adventure, where you can control everything just using your cursor. If there's objects you can interact with, the cursor will change accordingly. Double-clicking on objects or people allows you to interact with them, while right-clicking will have George inspect the object.

Your inventory is at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to inspect or combine objects you collected. At the top of the screen is the menu for saving, restoring, quitting and changing settings.

Gog and Steam both offer the Remastered version of the game, but it also comes with the classic/original version (which is the one I used).
